The UNISON Disabled Members’ Conference is due to take place in person from Saturday 30 October to Monday 1 November in Liverpool. To attend, you must get the Branch to register you as a delegate by 5 August.
In line with the changes to COVID restrictions in all four nations of the UK over the coming weeks, UNISON has taken the decision to move back to physical conferences where this is possible and in line with government guidance.
The National Disabled Members Committee has agreed that they would like to have an in-person event where possible. However, if COVID rules change then it will revert to a virtual conference.
To attend the conference, you need the Branch to register you as a delegate as the conference is unable to accommodate visitors this year. The conference will only be debating motions, so no workshops or social events will take place.
If you are disabled and would be interested in attending on behalf of the Barnardo’s Branch, please contact Louise Ashworth. This will enable the Branch to register you by 5 August.
