Employment trends in Barnardos

We are becoming increasingly aware of the forthcoming changes in how children's services will be funded.  To be competitive in this marketplace Barnardos will be looking to cut costs.  What are the implications?  Will we be competing with private organisations in future?  Will we lose parity with local authority staff? 

What are your views and concerns for the immediate and long term future?  - remembering that the childrens services workforce in the private sector is not well represented.  This may be an important topic both for ourselves and future members in this area of work.
