If my employer does not address my unequal treatment what can I do ?
Complaints under the Regulations may be made to Employment Tribunals. The time limit for submitting claims is three months from the date of the treatment or detriment. Where this relates to pay or a term in a contract of employment that is less favourable, the time limit runs from the last day on which that particular term is less favourable. The Regulations state that remedies relating to complaints about access to occupational pension schemes can only be backdated two years. The Regulations specify that any compensation awarded where a complaint is upheld cannot include compensation for injury to feeling, unlike awards made under the Sex Discrimination and Equal Pay Acts. » more
