Redundancy notice will be based on statutory or contractual entitlement, whichever is the greater. Barnardo's may pay notice in lieu depending on individual circumstances. During the notice period the responsible manager will actively undertake to seek and discuss alternative employment options with the staff member.

Where alternative posts or changes to contracts have been agreed during the consultation process, a letter will be issued to the staff member revising the terms and conditions of employment.
