A comparable full-time worker is a full-time worker who:
- is employed by the same employer under the same type of contract;
- does the same or broadly similar work;
- has a broadly similar level of qualifications, skills and experience;
- works, or is based at the same establishment, or where there is no comparable full-time worker at that establishment, works at a different establishment;
- a worker changing from a full-time to part-time contract, or returning to work part-time after an absence of less than twelve months can compare their part-time conditions with their previous full-time contract.
